Books On A Budget- Reading that Won't Break The Bank!

                                              Hello Everyone!

A problem that I constantly encounter is that books are getting very expensive, and although I love to read, I don't want to be digging around the bottom of my piggy bank to find a few extra pence towards the latest novel that catches my eye!
So here are a few tips to get the books you love without having to pay a lot for them!-

  • Swap books with your friends!

  - Often friends can have the same taste in books as you, so if you are round at their house one day and see a book you like on their bookshelf, just ask if you can borrow it! It can sometimes be a bit embarrassing asking them, but who cares, you'll still get the book you want!

  •  Borrow books from the library!
-I know, it seems obvious but many people forget, and sometimes it's just as easy to go to your local library and borrow a book that it is to buy one, and is completely free!

  • Look in charity shops.
-Probably about a fifth of my bookshelf consists of books from a charity shop. Yes, sometimes the book you want isn't in the first charity shop you go to, but if you look around two or three, then you're almost guaranteed to find the book you want. This is also a great opportunity to  'broaden your reading horizons', as there is usually a huge selection of books.

  • Buy books online.
-Buying books online is usually much cheaper than buying from the high-street. Not only is it easier to find good deals, you don't have to go into town to get the book you want, just go on your laptop. Online shops like Amazon and eBay are great and offer the choice of buying new or used books.

I hope that post helped you, and if you have any other ideas on how to save money on buying books, then let me know in the comments below!
